I hope he sticks with plays and stays away from TV.

Because his shows seriously annoyed me. Sports Night was ok, probably because it was only a half hour of that pointless walking around and yapping. I mean, christ, who designed the layout of the offices these people are working supposed to be working in? How much productivity would be lost in real life because the workers are constantly walking walking walking to someone else's office? Yeah, we get it, you can film actors as they walk and talk and you get the whole thing at once. Enough already.

Ugh, and Studio 60 was just entirely to self congratulatory: "Oh look how hard it is to produce a television show. This is what we do! Look at us doing what we do aren't we great?"

Snore.

Let's hope he stays away from the theater as well.

When I saw "A Few Good Men" on Broadway, I remember being thrilled by the dialogue, the story, etc. Until the last 10 minutes, that is. I can't even remember what happened, but there was a ridiculous turn in the plot, some hamfisted implausibility at the end, and I thought to myself: this isn't a play at all; it's a goddamn SHOWCASE being presented to sell a SCREENPLAY!

And I was right. Since then I have found Aaron Sorkin's work impossible to watch. Okay, I made it through half a "Sportsnight," three-quarters of a "Studio 60," and about three seconds of a "West Wing."

As far as I am concerned, this guy's just a slick, moderately talented, hack
