A pity, it was their only good song

Stairway to Heaven was Led Zeppelin's only good song. (The nonsensical lyrics don't matter, because on AM radios _no_ rock lyrics are intelligible.)

All their other songs sound the same -- a hysterical Micky Mouse trying to sing over noise.

I could never warm up to Stairway to Heaven, I was too messed up as a teenager with old-guy ideas to really appreciate them. Even today I regard LZ as an acquired taste, as opposed to how easily I gravitated to the Beatles, Stones, Who, and CSN(&Y), and then later to Queen, Pink Floyd, and Genesis.

I actually prefer "The Battle of Everyon" over Stairway, but then that's the Tolkien fanatic in me talking.

Zeppelin had many great songs. And it's the Battle of Evermore.

Those who don't jack shouldn't spew BS.
