who wins by no war: EVERYONE
by jpmarat

Everyone who doesn't want their sons or daughters to die in other war for Middle Eastern oil (oops, I forgot, right-wingers don't fight wars)...everyone who doesn't want to pay $5/gallon of gas or heating oil. Anyone with 1/10th of a brain who figured out long ago that Bush, Cheney, and their neo-con fanatics will do anything to safeguard our good buddies, the Saudi autocrats and our oil supply.

But of course, these blood-thirsty and greedy creeps will find another way around it.

Funny that the New York Post never printed the story today about the NIE report and Iran. In doing so they are following in Vladimir Putin's state owned newspapers: If the news counters your ideology, just delete it.

Nixon could have told you about bias in the media. Eisenhower and Nixon tried to stand against what they called the "military/industrial complex.

From his 1974 State of the Union, about 8 months before they forced his resignation ;

"Throughout the 5 years that I have served as your President, I have had one overriding aim, and that was to establish a new structure of peace in the world that can free future generations of the scourge of war. I can understand that others may have different priorities. This has been and this will remain my first priority and the chief legacy I hope to leave from the 8 years of my Presidency".

He was also trying to pass legislation for National Health Insurence, and had Project Independence going to make the US entirely energy self sufficent by 1980, with our electric power generation being entirly non fossil fuels useing nuclear and hydro electric.

Which one of the three do you think made them overthrow the Nixon Presidency? Maybe all three? All three were junked as soon as they got Nixon out of the way. Nixon ended the Cold War, but it was reignited asap, first in Hollywood movies, novels, comic books, and then the slow beating of editorial drums and artfull news stories..... at the behest of...? Its much the same today, much the same if evolved power behind the politics.
