I may be splitting hairs here, but Hagel was referring to the "Administration" - not Bush specifically.

to offer the board something constuctive instead of your meaningless Bush Bashing 24/7.

You and your crowd, in power now one year now, have done nothing more than divide the nation even more than before.

You have actually increased and plan to increase Social Spending more than ever while doing nothing about an insolvent Medicare and an underfunded Social Security while failing to anything about the illegal immigrants other than to forbid employers to insist on their employees speaking English.

What, exactly has your Congress done to decrease our reliance on the gasoline and diesel oil we use to power our cars and trucks? Pass laws for better milage ten years from now? Fund windmills while breaching hydro dams?

Why don't you get off your duff and come up with something constructive. You have been successful in denegrating our president, you have been successful in convincing yourself of your own lies.

Now do something constructive.,

And that doesn't mean increasing our Federal Taxes so Pelosi can spend it more..

afloat than any other group.

They pay in...but will never be able to take a penny out.

Their contributions are going to make the payments for the very people who want to kick them out.

Ironic isn't it.

They are starting to remind me of a hungry pack of old dogs, with only one bare bone to feed all of them:-)
Horse manure, choices, you just dumped

another load on us.even as Pelosi and Reid are working on amnesty for illegal aliens now sucking up much needed drinking water even as we spend billions on their health care, housing, education never mind the mega dollars it costs us to keep them in state and federal pens where they collect SSI benifits

Once Pelosi and Reid grant them amnesty ever grandfather, grandmother, aunt, uncle and cousins south of Peru get to come to The New Mexico for free SS pesos. Eh

Fandango!

Re: You should talk about what you know

something about.

The state of California checks to see if workers are paying into Worker's Comp, taxes and SS....

The illegals all pay unless they work somewhere where they are paid cash under the table, and most of them don't.

Their SS is taken out, every paycheck...goes to the Feds and the workers will never see one cent of it.

Just the facts.

******************************************************

I'll give you my personal opinion. I know I'm not known for that, but -- (laughter) -- that's why I'm so highly regarded at the White House. History will make that determination, as you know, Bob, more than almost anyone. And I'll leave that to history as to its determination. As to my personal opinion, which I have not been shy about sharing, I think as most of you know in speeches or interviews, this administration in my opinion has been as unprepared as any administration I'm aware of, not only the ones that I have been somehow connected to and that's been every administration -- either I've been in Washington or worked within an administration or Congress or some way dealing with them since the first Nixon administration. I would rate this one the lowest in capacity, in capability, in policy, in consensus -- almost every area, I would give it the lowest grade.

And I've thought often, Bob -- I may be wrong on this -- why is that, if I'm anywhere near the bulls-eye? And I have to say -- this is my opinion -- it is my opinion that this is one of the most arrogant, incompetent administrations I've ever seen personally or ever read about. (Laughter.) And when you think of the time and the opportunities that have been squandered by this administration, that's how you judge -- you all know about this, especially those of you in financial services, but anybody who does anything with time.

Time is the most critical commodity you have. If you squander the time, if you squander the moment, if you squander the opportunity, if you squander the boldness, what price do you pay on that? At what cost does that happen? And you know, I think of this administration, what they could have done after 9/11, what was within their grasp. Every poll in the world showed 90 percent of the world for us. Iran had some of the first spontaneous demonstrations on the streets of Tehran supporting America. They squandered a tremendous amount of opportunity.

It will be a cold day in Hell when I quit exposing Bush for the bad president and bully he really is.

...from Nebraska, bush's ex-secretary of agriculture is running for his seat and will probably get it though.

Hagel has spoken out against Bush and his policies many times on T.V.

An interesting tidbit: Hagel is our Republican Senator from Nebraska, our other Senator Ben Nelson is a Democrat and die-hard supporter of President Bush, even though Bush endorsed his Republican rival in a previous election.

GOP Sen. Chuck Hagel: "Arrogant" Bush White House Has "Failed Country"

Chuck Hagel's not exactly who you'd call a lefty. You can check out his voting record here. But this is what he has to say about the Bush administration:

Sen. Chuck Hagel, a leading Republican lawmaker who has come out against the Iraq war, had some harsh words for the Bush White House Wednesday, calling it "one of the most arrogant" administrations he's ever seen.

Guess whose phone is probably about to be tapped. But I digress:

"I would rate this one the lowest in capacity, in capability, in policy, in consensus -- almost every area, I would give it the lowest grade," Hagel said during an event at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.

Heavens! He sounds just like a U.S. Nobel Laureate!

"I think of this administration, what they could have done after 9/11, what was within their grasp," he said. "Every poll in the world showed 90 percent of the world for us. Iran had some of the first spontaneous demonstrations on the streets of Tehran supporting America."

"There's where they have failed the country," Hagel continued. "They've squandered the time and the opportunity that they had, and the next president is going to take four years to not only dig out from under that."

Someone's not going to be invited to the Big Annual Christmas Party!

Hagel still insists he has no plans to run for president.
