Wanted: Dead or Alive
by techresmgt
It's all about the money. Let's hurry up, says Steve Fossett's spouse and declare him dead, so she can get paid. Of course she will probably claim she needs "closure", but that is probably a bunch of hooey. Why else would there be a rush to declare him dead? Maybe she is a total wench and he simply wanted to get away from her cheaply and decided to disappear; as so many women also do these days voluntarily? Remember the wide-eyed, pop-tart bride that made National headlines a few years back? She reportedly "flipped out" about her impending marriage (ugh) while gross amounts of tax dollars were spent wasting time trying to find someone that was in no danger or lost? Suddenly, she just showed up to much unwarranted critical acclaim. A celebrity of sorts; albeit a loose fitting word to describe her. She should have been sued and prosecuted instead of giving her headlines all over the world. If Steve is out there, and he may well be, have fun, drink heartily, and show up when you are ready. Until then, we will put a hold on your death certificate and millions of dollars in the bank.

You sir are a total fool. If you had only spent a few minutes reading Fossetts Wiki bio you would have discovered he and his wife Peggy have been married for 40 years. Only a dolt like you would resort to such calumny regarding the surviving spouses intentions.

Just as a footnote, I live near the "runaway bride" you refer to. I'm not a fan. But: She was prosecuted, plead guilty, did some time picking up trash by the roadside in an orange vet, and the family paid some 30,000 dollars in fees. So, thought I'd correct that.

Having said that, Steve Fossett is dead. Its sad, but he took the adventurer's risk and lost. Whole different situation. Sure the widow wants to settle the affairs, and sure there's a lot of money involved. But the wife of 40 years and now widow is acting reasonably, and doesn't need any contrafactual and mean spirited angst.

Fool? You are living proof of foolishness, and closed minded as well. Does your wife wear the pants in your family or does she just not allow you to have an opposing view?
