Thank goodness, if I ever experienced anesthesia awareness I certainly hope I would forget it. Come to think of it I think that's what they gave me for my wisdom tooth removal worked (in addition to novacane or whatever the numbing agent was). I was awake during the operation but I don't remember anything at all till I was halfway home. No complaints. It would be terrible to have to remember a surgery though! (shudder).

Yeah. It's like Philip K. Dick novel in reverse. But the thing is, how complete is the amnesia? I recall from psych class way back when, that electroshock therapy patients don't remember the procedure, but after a few times they develop a distinct aversion to the room where it happened, even though they can't tell you why.
