How Depressing!
by thisislissa
No wonder feminists supposedly hate men. I'm feeling a little hateful myself after reading this article. It's hard to accept the profound unfairness of being born a woman and having to deal with all this shit! I have to worry about childbearing and childrearing and breastfeeding and biological clocks and glass ceilings and perceptions of femininity and god knows what else that men will never have to worry their pretty little heads over. It seems like the further we go towards equality the more inequality we uncover. I'm sick of it, couldn't I just have been born a man?

Yes, you could have been born a man, at least that's what I remember from Greek Mythology. I don't remember which one it was, but there was a goddess who gave birth to a full grown man, who came into the world full-grown out of the top of her head.

So, I guess maybe you should stop complaining, because a normal vaginal birth sounds a lot less painful and consequential to the birth mother than the Greek Mythology method.

Also, if it makes you feel any better, Hillary Clinton doesn't look that much like a woman to me. I don't think they make makeup that thick. Just trying to cheer you up.

Actually, it was a man god who gave birth to a female goddess who jumped full-grown out of his head. The god was Zeus, and the goddess was Athena (wisdom). Interestingly, there was no pain.

This kind of article is what makes women appear illogical and uneducated. It got an emotional reaction from you and it was meant to do that.

Don't let some article sway you to be anti-male. I am female and would love to see more women in leadership positions, but I would not vote for Hilary. She plays on peoples emotions and counts women as a cheap vote - don't sell out. She doesn't represent the kind of women we view as heros and role models and I definately wouldn't want her for our president. I'm tired of this "poor women" stuff used to help her campaign. I am not a cheap vote - I actually read.

LOL. Hilary playing on people's emotions? How exactly is she accomplishing this? Her campaign is no different than anyone else running for president. What play on emotion? Do you mean kinda like Giuliani plays the sympathetic politician with his widely circulated picture at an Iraq war soldier’s funeral, or Obama’s decision to go the cheap route and get Oprah to back him instead of actually talking about initiatives that could win a female fan base. It's called being a politician.

I will agree with you on this, Hilary doesn't represent the kind of women that we view as heroes and role models. You see that slot is reserved for Hollywood actresses and models that survive natural disasters, not women with careers and ambitions beyond becoming the next Beyonce.

You really should take your own advice and not let some article sway you to be anti-female.

I swear Hilary Clinton could crap bricks of gold, discover the cure for AIDS, make world peace, eliminate greenhouse gases and she still wouldn't get any respect.

I guess Domino is suggesting that any person who supports Hillary Clinton is incapable of reading. Domino, who DO you support?

"I swear Hilary Clinton could crap bricks of gold, discover the cure for AIDS, make world peace, eliminate greenhouse gases and she still wouldn't get any respect."

That's really funny and very sad. I am constantly surprised by the Hillary Hate Factor. It's truly venomous...(and no, I'm still undecided). The more I read from Hillary Haters the more I'm surprised by the deep seated resentment they hold so dear.

"they're piling on me", my husband is a liar, an adulterer, and embarrassed me in front of a nation after she stood beside him, then didn't have the guts to stand up to him and divorce his ass! RESPECT??? I think not. I and the rest of the nation would have had a lot more respect for her had she done that!

She did say that the other candidates were piling on her. She said that they were piling on her "because [she's] winning". It's only people from outside her campaign who've been playing the victim card.

And for that matter, there was no way for her to win on the adulterous husband issue. If she hadn't stood by him, she would've been decried for breaking up her family. But by not divorcing him, she apparently doesn't have any guts. It's her damn marriage, not yours. She didn't want to divorce him. How does that involve you? Oh, wait. It doesn't. Grow up.

It's also shows her character...

Yes, it is her marraige, not mine, but, I'm not running for President. I personally would have given her a hell of a lot more respect if she had! This tells me and anyone else voting, that she has NO self-esteem and sure as hell can not be given the ability to be called commander in chief of our armed forces. Now, before you get started, BUSH is an idiot!

If you scan some of my previous posts, you will note that I am a republican by voting record, however, I consider Joseph Biden, a democrat the most qualified person in either party to run this country in the present times.
