Perish the thought. America's "Newspaper of Record" stuffing its pages with ignorant fluff? Can it be?

Fact is, America's "Newspaper of Record" has not done this kind of article in a newsworthy way for decades. Since they left pure journalism and entered the arena of agenda-driven news and commentary in the 70's, their record of journalistic sloppiness and mental laziness continues to grow. I find it amazing that anyone takes them seriously anymore, except for those [people/news organizations] who share the same left-wing agenda. Besides, it's not their guy in the White House. We can't possibly portray any economic news in a positive light.

When Bill Clinton, by basically leaving his hands off of things, was able to oversee a positive result in the area of controlling the deficit, all we heard about was how we were going to be debt-free within a decade or so- thanks to him. When the Clinton recession and 9/11 reversed that trend in 2000/2001, all we heard was how our current administration had mis-managed the deficit, Now that there is the same trend in the deficit, in spite of the heavy spending involved in fighting a global war, how many stories have you heard about it? Almost none, especially from the NYT.
