Thank You for Calling Esquire Out

It was truly a terribly written article. The author managed to simultaneously insult his audience, the subject matter (Angelina Jolie), and victims of 9/11. That's no small feat! Thank you for confirming what I already knew: this month's Esquire stunk.

I subscribe to Esquire as well, and while I love the magazine for its wry humor and how to's and well written articles (except the RIDICULOUS monthly fashion articles..."the 7 essential pairs of shoes/ summer suits, etc...") I usually avoid cover stories of women b/c they are puff pieces that reduce the actress to pieces of meat. Hilary Swank? Halle Berry? C'mon? Piven was funny, if lightwight. Downey Jr. Was terrific! Every now and then I think Esquire is my facorite magazine and then they go and blow it! Thank you Slate for "keeping it real".
