Can she take the heat?
by TJA
I'm puzzled by all the doubt about Clinton before the debate. Hearing Wolf Blitzer ask "if she can't take the heat of the Democratic debate, how will she handle attacks from Giuliani or Romney?" made me scratch my head. Has no one noticed that Hillary has survived over 15 years of being the right's favorite target of venom? She has survived a constant barrage of attacks and abuse from every direction and is still standing. Why would anyone be surprised that she could handle a few weak jabs from Obama and Edwards?

I think this article was a written by a homer. That is a supposed neutral official that actually likes the home team. Clinton can only win a debate if you don't hate her, and over half the country has already said in a poll that they will never vote for her. In fact, the negatives with all voters for her is in the lowest opinion group, or down right hatred and that number is 56% ! There is no middle ground. I will never vote for her.

I wish Thacher was an American so we could have a presidential candidate who actually knew what they were doing. And for the record, Bush is the worst President since Woodrow Wilson, another fool.

WHY NOT? THIS PERSON IS AN UNITED STATES SENATOR SHE IS MARRIED TO ONE OF THE BEST PRESIDENTS WE EVER ELECTED .PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT WON T VOTE FOR HER WILL HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HER OR A "MORE OF THE SAME REPUBLICAN."..I AM A REPUBLICAN TURNED INDEPENDENT AND I CANNOT MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION UNTIL I SEE HER OPPONENT WHO I THINK WILL BE RUDY GUILIANI.. IF YOU LISTEN TO HIM YOU HAVE TO BE IMPRESSED .OUR PRESIDENT WHILE MISDIRECTED HAS BEEN DULY ELECTED BY THE VOTERS HISTORY ALONE WILL DETERMINE HOW WELL HE DID...OR DID NOT DO .I RARELY RESPOND EDITORIALLY BUT WE NEED TO STOP BASHING OUR CANDIDATES AND CONCENTRATE ON GETTING OUT OF iRAQ AND PUT IN AN ADMINISTRATION THAT REPRESENTS THE PEOPLE'S WISHES ..WE USED TO HAVE A GOVERMENT FOR THE PEOPLE,BY THE PEOPLE THAT WILL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH...LATELY I AM NOT SO SURE.

Actually it is 47% and Giuliani's is 49% while Romney's is 46%. Not so bad then is it? Basically all those who would never vote for Hillary are those who would never vote for a Democrat in any case.

Yes Hilliary can stand up to Giuliani and Romney for these reasons. R.G. is no saint in his own right because he recommended a close friend for a position with the now President Bush and that friend turned out to be cooked, what does that say for R.G. and President Bush fired him, that says something positive about the president and a slap to R.G. Everyone downs the democrats when they do something wrong but when the republicans do something wrong it is quickly deminished. Go for it Hilliary you got what it takes.

You cannot hate someone that has never done anything to you unless you just do not have an open mind and are one sided. I am an independent voter and I vote for the person not the party. I think Hilliary has just as good of a chance as anyone else. Who do you think ran this country while her husband was being dogged by the republicans and the lawyers about his relations with the now famous intern? She already has 8 yrs experience under the wings of President William J. Clinton her husband. Heh! I think she held up real good as a female, politician and a wife during the WJC indictments. Lets give her a chance, the men in the country have done nothing but give away all the social security money and now want to slide out of the program. I think they should go back to the day when they transferred the money from the ss fund to the general fund and take all the politicians who was in office then and ever since and devide the number of politicians into the number of missing monies from ss and make them all pay their fair share to put it back.

HA HA! Thats never going to happen with democrats or republicans in office.

I am sorry if it comes down to Hilliary and R.G. then the Hill will be on the Hill in my book. R.G. is just saying what you want to hear, remember the close friend he recommended for a position with President Bush. If they were close friends, you can bet that R.G. knew what his friend was doing and that does leave a bad taste in my mouth and Hilliary does have more experience in the white house than R.G. hopefully will ever get.
