Oh wait, I just thought of one corollary; it is like the man who was sent to hell still asking for water to cool his tongue from the poor beggar that he ignored his whole life on earth. And yes, God really couldn't care less about prayers from politicians, be them dead or alive.

This praying-for-rain campaign is a classic example of how the religious mind works.

First, they assume that God is so inattentive or heartless that He doesn't already know or care about the drought in the Southeast.

Second, if it rains, even a little, days or weeks after a prayer session, they think God did it.

Third, the best time to schedule a prayer session is when the weather forecasters predict rain.

But it never occurs to them that maybe when the prayers aren't answered, God is still pissed off at them about something. Here in Massachusetts we get plenty of rain. Ditto Manhattan, Seattle, San Francisco. God loves us liberals!

this is a joke right? They are praying for rain in the 21st. century.Why not just do a rain dance ,it"s probably just as ineffective but is more entertaining.The religious have got to be the dumbest people on the planet.If you want to solve Georga's water problem ,stop trying to save a stupid fish and let the people have the water.

They used "The Secret."

They envisioned rain and sent out positive thoughts to the universe.

They remained open to the possibility of rain.

The universe presented them with rain.

You left out one key point; They looked at the forcast and saw that it was very likely there would be rain.

The Secret. What a joke. Only losers need the secret.

In fact the message of the secret is a very poor one; sit on your ass and just think and it will all come to you. The secret is for lazy morons. Being a Christian was bad enough!

God created the earth and man (whether you acknowledge it or not) and set things in motion, giving man domain over creation. Now man has screwed it up, he wants to turn to God to fix it…..now God may have mercy on them and send rain but he might also answer NO…..for his own reasons.

Or that the answer may simply be NO.....

So, god created the earth. Silly me. Here I was thinking that it was gravity pulling together dust and elemental debris that orbited our newly formed star.
