In response to this article, I feel that the current "Anti-Marijuana" ads out today are yet another example failed anti-drug advertisement. These commercials are comical, and offer not even the slightest bit of reality. When has an alien ever come from outer space and steal your girlfriend away? Obviously, a dumb question, but that is the only thing I can formulate from one of new and popular ads out there today. The bottom line is, teenagers need to be targeted at an emotional level. Hormones are raging, and intense emotions are a direct result of this. Furthermore, such deep emotions then drive teenagers to act in certain ways, make decisions, etc. If there were ads out there that truly showed real life emotional consequences, I think teens would be more reluctant to try drugs. I am talking about showing complications with family, friends, and life goals in ads. I believe that if a link between the pain of these complications and the use of drugs is made, teenagers will finally see why drugs are not the way to go.

The only time an alien has appeared to take the stoner's girlfriend is when that stoner's joint had a little LSD sprinkled in it.
