Death Penalty reform
by hotroadster

I know I'm NOT politically correct and that the stupid law profession may not agree, BUT, should we really care if execution has some element of pain? I'm sure the criminals all caused plenty of pain during their crime, and it isn't a deterrant, it's punishment! So who cares? I say Hang 'em high! Lets bring back Judge Roy Bean! Nuts to long delays and multiple appeals. Sentence the criminal today and hang 'em at Noon tomorrow in the town square of the jurisdiction where they committed their crime.

Now THAT would be meaningful Death Penalty reform!

I agree! A bullet at Wal-mart is less then 50 cents. Should we care that baby rapers and murderer's experience a little bit of pain? What about their victims? Isn't reforming the death penalty giving them the short end of the stick? Is anyone thinking about THEIR justice? Probably not....

Should we care about the US Constitution?

I see, so lets just IGNORE the US Constitution and let The Government impose cruel punishment.

BTW, how is it "giving victims the short end of the stick" when you reform or abolish the Death Penalty?

  • Does the DP bring the victim back?
  • Does the DP prevent future murders?

Do explain how victims - who are already dead - benefit from the Death Penalty?
