Does anybody believe grandparents actually teach you about Pledge or Natinal Anthem? Elemetary school teachers do! That's how my kids learned their Pledge, not from me.

Obama grew up in Indonesia and went to public elementary school there. I doubt he fully knows about Pledge of Allegiance which is taught at primary school here. I came from China more than 20 years ago and became a US citizen almost ten years ago. I still don't know fully the Pledge or the National Anthem and what you are supposed to do when you pledge or sing, at least not insitictively. I think that the constitution requires US President to be US born is a wise one. It maybe even better to amend it to be US raised in addition to be US born. A person like me that grew up and was educated in a foreign country could never completely be at home here no matter how much I love this country. And US President should be US born and US educated (at least before college) so that he/she can be the commander-in-chief of the US military. If the US President is not commander-in-chief of the military, I would say anybody could be eligible to be US President.

Sign...such ignorance. Obama when to school in Jakarta from ages 6-10. He said he learned the pledge from his American Grandfather in Hawaii when he was 3. I also learned from my grandpa so it isn't so strange. YOUR kids didn't learn from you because you didn't know it!

Did you know that Sen. Obama was an instructor of constitutional law at the University of Chicago law school? I think he knows a little bit about America.

That's exactly my point, age 6-age 10, that's elemetary school in Indonisia where children do their pledge to what? In this country, children do their pledge to the American flag every morning. Why not some journalist find out what Indonisia elementary school children pledge to in the school routine?

Actually he lived in Indonesia ages 6-8, other than that he grew up in Hawaii. He's as red-blooded American as anyone.

Maybe Obama's campaign has to put out another clarification. As I understand it, he only started to attend school in Hawaii from 5th grade on when he was 10. He did have his elemetary school education mainly in Indonisia. <link>

So? From the age of 10 to 26 he was educated in the U.S. What is your point?
