Bush and Rice blew it?
by John Bowden

What does the author of this article know?

How did BUsh and Rice blow it? He never explains himself, or tells us what Bush should have done. SO he is just an insesant complainer with no knowlege of his own as to a solution. Like the lame democrats who only complain but have no brain for any solution. They just complain because they want to be the dictators of the USA.

The author is so bad logically that Slate should fire him

There are too many examples to cite all of them, but I recall him saying no dictator will EVER do something due to Bush. EVER is a long time and writing it is logically wrong.

"In the same address, Bush spun an appealing but specious syllogism: Tyranny breeds discontent; discontent breeds hatred and terrorism; terrorism threatens U.S. security; therefore, promoting democracy enhances U.S. security. Or, as he put it, "America's vital interests and our deepest beliefs are now one.""

The author here appartently forgot to take his logic pill today as well. Why? Most people would not take what Bush said in the address to mean whart the author took it to be.

If tyranny breeds discontent then terrorism, then why isn't there a lot of terrorism in Iran today? We promoted democracy in Iran in the early 70's and see what occured? A terrorist State emerged.

No one can not blame all of the world's ill's on Bush and the USA like the author believes. The author is right on a number of points regarding the country's military. The Islamist leaning officers and enlisted should be taken out and shot for one thing. But don't worry toio much about ther A-Bomb as the ones they tested were duds.

Ouch ! That was history taking a beating.

We subverted democracy in Iran. We did not introduce it. Do a google search for Mossadegh and how the Shah came to power and who supported him.

The A bombs that they exploded were low yield but as real as they get, just like the ones on the Chinese missiles (hint ! hint !).
