Another Missed Opportunity...

What a great chance for a journalist to mention the only candidate who actually is saying so much more than the same old crap we hear every four years. Ron Paul does not spew the kind of drivel we are constantly being spoon-fed. Yet even in this little article he doesn't get so much as a nod comparing him to the other candidates as the outspoken, honest, forthright man that he is. All these journalist will say about him is how he's such a long-shot and a "fringe candidate"; they miss every opportunity to mention how and why he's so different from everyone else and why that is so terribly important.

Everyone already knows why and how Ron Paul is different and that is exactly why he gets little attention. The media and the government have their agenda and know who the crowned heads are. Peripheral candidates don't count no matter their contributions or qualifications.

I saw Ron Paul on the Colbert Report and I was impressed by the fact that he seemed to be a straight talker but, also, a bit loopy. That was the only time I've heard him speak, so I guess I have to give him the benefit of the doubt, for now, that it was only because of the setting.

But it's telling, isn't it, that the plain-talking candidates are almost always marginal? Their handlers are telling all the candidates who have a legitimate chance that they'd be throwing that chance away if they ever departed from their vapid scripts and said what was really on their minds. McCain seemed to be the most recent example of somebody who thought they could break through that advice, but alas, he was wrong.

You're exactly right about Ron Paul dandan.

The reason why other politicians are so boring is that they are lying, or at least speaking "truth" which has been massaged so that it appeals to as many as possible while offending the fewest possible.

Whereas Ron Paul's language is leadership, the language of the rest of them is salesmanship. Hence the vigor of the former's language and the flabbiness of the latter's.

Hi Midway. You're 100% right that, broadly speaking, the media/government and their masters are deliberate in their marginalization of those who, like Ron Paul, are not driven by lust for power and money, and are thus beyond their manipulation. But you're wrong to think everyone knows what Dr. Paul is about. Most people still have no idea about Ron Paul on any level. Let's break the puppeteers' embargo on the minds of the masses - join your local meetup and let's get active, if you haven't already, so that by next year you'll be 100% right in saying everyone knows why Ron Paul is different. Hi RonB52. If you do a Google Video search on Dr. Paul you'll find tons of speeches and interviews that will show you just how consistently principled, courageous and honest this man has proven himself to be through his actions. But if you want to understand why that matters so much right now, you need do explore for yourself some things the mass-media won't show you. If you watch Aaron Russo's film "America: Freedom to Fascism", and Paul Gringot's "Money as Debt" on Google Video you'll be empowered to begin to grasp what's really going on in American and world society, what's unique about Ron Paul's positions, why he's a true hero and champion of human liberty, and why it's so critically important that a tidal wave of we, The People forms right now to support him. Best wishes.

Thank you, dandan. I, too am tired of all those vague statemens and slogans. These so called "front runners" are all just the same! If any of them gets elected - there will be no change and the country will just go down the slippery slope to fascism and corporatism. And all that while the politicians are giving big speeches about freedoms and how they are going to protect us and blahblahblah. The fact that the mainstream media is not providing fair coverage of Ron Paul and that they just keep on playing favorites with wishy washy Hillary, Rudy & Co. is suspicious. Call me naive but that's kinda scary, actually.
