Al Gore is a hypocrit, and the Nobel Peace Price has made itself laughable. Al uses 5 times the average electricity in his home, flies by personal jet (rather than commercial) using an obsene amount of fossil fuels to transport just himself around so he can preach to people like me how we need to be more responsibile and conserve. When confronted with this, he says that he buys carbon credits to neutralize his lifestyle. This is hogwash and hypocritical. If I abuse a dog, can I neutralize that act by being kind to another dog? If I burn down a forest, can I neutralize that act by saving another? Gross consumption is gross consumption and cannot be neutralized by buying carbon credits. Buying carbon credits is Gore and Hollywoods way to rationalize their gross consumption lifestyle with their purported politically correct values. Gore and the rest of them are hypocrits, I care not what they say until I see them living their values. We should be riduculing them off their pulpits.

He's on a mission to spread the word. He's got everyone talking and thinking, even though he's jetting around, which is more than anyone has done yet by staying home and doing nothing.

Those who mean to oppose, are opposing truth, and it cannot be covered over by Exxon-Mobile or anyone else anymore. If you dislike hypocracy, write your congressmen for impeachment, be for the "Peice" lovers head to Iran....or maybe you work for them??

I agree with you, BUT he happens to be right about climate change. Take a look at the science - there is a broad consensus and the need for major change is clear. Gore and Hollywood are far from the only ones sounding the alarm about climate change. The best scientists in the world have proceeded cautiously on the issue, and we ignore their conclusions at our peril.

Some science says that there is a cooling coming and some say it will not happen. Which science do you believe? I believe in God! God created this earth and He alone can stop a hurricane. Man cannot stop one, man cannot stop a tornado, man cannot stop or start the rain, the sun or anything else. When America gets back to God is when things will change.

I thought God gave us brains. To use. So, according to your argument, we should just sit on our duffs and do literally nothing about anything.

While I don't agree with what Al Gore says, I do realize the "need" for him to spread his "message." How do you rationalize, however, the use of his personal jet when he could easily fly commercial? Or drive. A Hybrid car. This day in age, wouldn't it be possible to spread his message in more "green" way? Telecommunication? Video conferencing? Basically, he goes around the world to narriate a PowerPoint presentation. Seems a little ridiculous to me.

And, how do you rationalize his buying of "carbon offsets" from HIMSELF. Yeah, that's BS if I've ever heard it.
