Luke warm
by brucetheking

It has only been a few short decades since scientists were convinced we were heading for the next ice-age. And of course the usual susspects were certian it was "our" fault. They wer wrong...surprised?

We all know the weather forcast for next week is as likely to be wrong as it is right. The global climate, the earth, the sun they are far too vast and complex for us to predict their behavior. All of the activity of man from the begining of our existance to now could be over shadowed by one medium sized natural event. The tiniest percentage change in the suns energy, a volcanic episode, an object from space, a release of methane from the sea floor......

No we can not control the temperature of the earth, or sun and we never will. Things may warm or then again, they may cool. We may be destroyed by flood or draught or more likely, hit by a car.

Agenda driven groups can use unfounded fear to effect control over the weak minded. AlGore, his rediculous movie, and all his mind numbed followers prove my point.

Umm, "rediculous"? And mind-numbed perhaps? By the way, what is mind-numbed? Numbed-minded perhaps? What is your agenda? You sounded like a fatalist....you know, oh well, we might get hit by an asteroid, or whatever. Ho hum. Forget doing something about what could be a real problem. It's just an agenda from AlGore (one word?). We are in fact in an ice age interstitial period...the next ice age revamp may or may not arrive with the current state of affairs. The interruption of the thermalhaline circulation in the North Atlantic by fresh water melt might introduce a brief but intense mini-ice age in the northern latitudes. The melting would come, ironically, from global warming. The human contribution to the rapid increase in Co2 and global warming is now becoming accepted in the general scientific community. Frankly, this post and many like it merely sound like political hack attacks and nothing more.
