Gore's got it wrong...

I don't understand why nothing is reported about the earth's and sun's cycles. We ARE getting warmer and will get warmer for the next couple thousand years. Does anybody remember the earth goes through ice ages??? We are currently coming out of the last ice age, thus getting warmer. It all has nothing or nearly nothing to do with man. If it did have something to do with man, let's hope we get it hot enough to avoid the next ice age which is due in about 10,000 years, otherwise, no more Europe, Canada, northern U.S., etc.

My friend, you are right to a point. There are cycles, but the current situation is most likely a cycle greatly magnified by human contributions. Generally, most people are unaware that the readings of Co2, for example, have risen at an unbelievably fast rate, far faster than the ancient historical spikes. Not only have they risen quickly, but the ppm is now higher than seen, so far, for over 600,000 years. And it is still rising. In addition, the possible release of permafrost methane (not to mention off-shore hydrates) may accelerate the process. Other nasty man-made greenhouse gases have been discovered as well, and frankly, it appears that we are in a highly volatile situation, with no clear future. I'd suggest you do more research, and not from op-ed writers.
