polling
by kiojn

Been hearing a lot about how the Republican party is fracturing over the decisions they have to make for a 2008 candidate. I'm wondering what polling is showing on the Democratic side. I read a lot of liberal blogs and I'm seeing a lot of dissatisfaction (mine included) with the leadership in Congress, with lots of folks claiming to be leaving the party due to the weakness of the congressional "leadership". Has any polling been done to measure how much the democrats are losing their base?

I have seen no political polling done regarding weak Democratic leadership here in the midwest but from my converstaions with many regular Democratic voters here the consensus is that Pelosi's leadership has been pathetic at best. Nearly an entire nation is fed up with its president and many of those who say they are not only say they are not because they want to protect their political party from more damage.

Despite national disdain for the president and a majority in the House Pelosi cannot seem to accomplish anything but choreoghraphed whining and sniveling as if she were still a distant minority.

The House leader must do the jobs the House leader is supposed to do. Give us a budget and pass the legislation needed to run the country. Then fight the poltical battles that need to be fought. Its called leading the government not staging photo ops and soundbites, thats what the inept GOP did and why they were finally booted out

If the Democrats want to expand their majorities and win the Whitehouse, and for the sake of the nation I hope they do, then they need to consider replacing Pelosi as leader this afternoon or first thing in the morning.

I gather by reading your posts that you are a repugnant.. I can't believe how far you are from main stream america- AND I don't mean you in particular, seems everybody's worried about 2009 who will take the reins. Well doesn't seem most give a F___ about whats going on today. You got a peice of shit president that in my opinion aint worth the 29 cents to buy a bullet, veto's a health care plan for the the children and now asks, sorry demands another 46 billion for his little bloodthirsty occupation, and all you touch holes can do is pick apart candidates that have not even been nominated. JESUS CHRIST people look around you , there is great doubt that there will even be an election, take care of todays buisiness before you worry about what might not ever happen.

Actually if you study my posts you will find that I am a moderate Democrat with less use for GWB than the fecal matter and paper I flush down my commode.

However I also think Pelosi has been a terrible Speaker of the House, and I think the Democrats and the United States would be much, much better off if she were replaced by a different Democrat. The sooner she is replaced the sooner things get better for the country and the Democrats.

By the way, where do you buy ammunition for 29 cents a shot? Thats a heck of a bargain.

Bullets? No election? What kind of "Mainstream" are you talking about? You are one scary little person.

I have voted Democrat for over 50 years and am very unhappy with the way Pelosi and Reid are screwing around with the House and Senate. They show very little interest or ability to get the unbrain dead Republican members of the House and Senate to join with them to oppose the "Little King" in the Whitehouse. Pelosi and Reid better learn how to make deals with their opponents or step down and let someone else run the store.
Re: polling

The problem is nobody is really running the store in either party. There's no compromise or looking for solutions. Both sides care about nothing more than attacking each other. When there occasionally is a shift in power, the new majority spins wildly trying to convince everyone their policies are unique when they're actually identical to what they were griping about when the other side was running the show.

sundown, you are 100% correct...neither dims nor pugs give a rats ass about governing for the people, both despicable parties only care about who calls the shots, and denigrating anyone who does not agree with them...they are both pathetic...
