"The abortion and out-of-wedlock or teenage pregnancies are a fraction
from those in America.
All of which in countries that have National Healthcare with a focus on
prevention, sound and responsible sex-education and enlightened birth-control
attitudes. It's about time we wise up and get with the program too."
One big question that isn't answered in this story is "what is the rate
of sexual activity among the teenage population?" Why this is
important is simple logic. The more sexual activity occurring, the more
probability that a pregnancy will occur, but since sexual activity is not
something that can be accurately tracked, due to concerns about privacy and
confidentiality, we will not know the answer to this question until such data
is available.
We hear much about the low rates of abortion in free-sex countries in
Europe, but how does this correlate with the rate of long-term monogamous
couples in these countries, the break-up rate, the rate of contraceptive
usage(how can this ever be correctly reported since it relies merely on the
say-so of those claiming to have used it?).
the World Health Organization has never been considered the bastion of
accuracy for these sorts of studies so why merely accept them on face value
since they have been disproved or lacking in truth in the past and have yet to
show where and how the data was collected.
There is no problem with a rebuttal that "the data that made up this
study is incomplete or false" if this is a truthful criticism or if the
study comes from organizations that are known to be in-bed with abortion-advocacy
organizations (which includes even UNICEF and it's relationship with Planned
Parenthood) so why shouldn't such a study be treated with skepticism?
Give PROOF with actual FACTS and not just statements that "RESEARCHERS
FOUND or RESEARCHERS CONCLUDED". This is not science or fact.
It is opinion and propaganda until these researchers are named and their
relationships to advocacy organizations known and the sources of their data
revealed to be credible.
