Two points on Hillary
by sphealey

1) First Teddy Roosevelt, then FDR, saved American business from itself. American business has been trying to destroy what the cousins Roosevelt accomplished for the ever since, and in Bush/Cheney/Rove/Norquist they thought they had finally achieved their dreams. Perhaps it is time for American business go grow up, read the history of Otto von Bismark, Theodore Roosevelt, and the radical left movements of the 1880-1930 time period and stop trying to remove the guardrails that protect them.

2) HR Clinton stated explicitly last week that her goal was to return to the politics of her youth. Of course during her youth up through her sophomore year of college she was a Republican. She appears to truly believe that what the United States needs is a return to suburban Chicago Republicanism of the 1960s (which also repudiates her entire life in Arkansas by the way). That may or may not be so, but it seems more than a bit Rovian to advance that agenda under the banner of the Democratic Party.
