Dad's daughter is afraid of his damnation.

Just because you do not believe in God or religion does not mean you are right, and certainly does not exempt you from an eternity in hell. You are absolutely correct in that you do not have to believe in God. Thousands of people went to work on September 11, 2001 in NYC, never believing they would be dead in 2 hours. Thousands of people die every day, never imagining they will end up in hell. Disbelief has never changed the truth from being true. It only shows the weakness and shortcomings of humanism.

Your daughter loves you, and is showing that love by caring for you and your eternal destiny. The Lord God is using her to make you aware of his great love for you, even though you selfishly continue to deny His existence. You have hardened your heart against Him. If you do not repent and change your way, this could end in your destruction. If you truly love your daughter and your life, you will change your ways and allow your daughters love to bring you to the greatest love you have ever known. One that will last for eternity, and change your life and your heart for the better forever. GOD IS GREAT !

And you know this how?

Because it is written in a book?

What if it is the wrong book -- what if the Q'ran or the Book of Mormon turns out to be the correct one? Or more likely, that they all are just a collection of men's ideas?

Why is it people always assume that the "Book" may be wrong? That is usually stated always by someone who has no real idea about the Bible at all.

What if every one who believes in the Bible is right? What then? That makes every one who does not believe wrong. Myself being one who can prove the existance of God based on Life Experiences, I think that the question is not whether God exists, but rather "Can you or any one else prove he does not?" That is the true problem, people always try to rationalize a persons beliefs in God and make them out to be a lesser human for having such beliefs. They feel that since they cannot see God, he must not exist. Well, based on that theory, think of it this way: Take that place in the world you have never been. You have heard it is there, but you have not seen it, touched it, or experienced it in any way. That said, some could argue it must not exist because they have not experienced it. It is the same with God. If you have not experienced him or a relationship with him, you cannot say he does or does not exist.

Have any of you actually read the Bible? I’m talking cover to cover, not bits and sections your preacher points out during his sermons. I've read it, and maybe I'm being a bit "judgmental" here, but the book is filled with murder, hate, sick behavior, and that's all coming from "The Lord" and "his people".

And I'm not just talking about the Old Testament. It’s everywhere. Jesus never denies the writings of the Old Testament (he says he came to fulfill the law), and since Christians believe that Jesus is God himself, it is supposed to be the same guy in both the Old and New Testaments.

If you think about it, if God is that full of himself that he actually tosses human beings in the eternal lake a fire for something as innocent as not believing that donkeys can talk, that a man can live in a whale and survive, that most "healing" Christian tele-evangalists are scammers trying to steal your money, then God himself is one sick puppy.

Don't forget that the preacher who screamed to the world just recently that homosexuality is a horrible sin, yet that same man (Ted Haggard) hired a male prostitute to come over and "do" him for quite a long time (a year or more). Christians say out loud, "well, he wasn't a Christian" (I hear that constantly about Christians who do this type of stuff--- I hear it so often that it means nothing to me anymore). So, people who do not believe in the nonsense that is in the "good book" that is supposedly "without error" (and happens to contradict itself over and over again) are thrown into a burning pit of flames for all eternity? That concept is so sick, it makes me want to puke.

People assume that the Bible is incorrect because it is contradicted by physical evidence. For instance, rabbits don't chew cud. It also is not internally consistant. Compare the geneology of Jesus in Luke and Matthew, for instance.

What if everyone who believes the Koran is right? What if no one is right? What if the Book of Mormon is right?

Your God is not great.

God is supposedly morally perfect. I wouldn't damn people eternally just for not singing the right songs on Sunday morning, and I'm not even morally perfect. I'm just a normal guy doing my best to be rational, ethical, compassionate, and leave the world a little better than I found it.

I have never been to France. If I were to state that because of that, it must not exist, all one would have to do to prove it to me would be to buy a plane ticket and fly me there. There is no such method, no experiment that can be performed and tested, to prove God exists. It is not the same.

Wow. Using 9/11 to shakily support your religious rhetoric instead of providing an example of Christian integrity. Good work. God approves of exploiting people's suffering in His name! Praise be to him!
