3-year old evangelical
by gkiger1620
"Agree to disagree" is a terrible answer. This kid is being taught in church that everything is black and white - no middle ground. And that her father is on the wrong end.

So do you advocate that he do exactly what he doesn't want his daughter to do? Are you saying he should ask her to tolerate his beliefs but that he should be completely intolerant of hers? In that case, you doing exactly what she is, making everything black and white and saying she is "on the wrong end."

The dad should take the girl to church. But, I think it's up to the Dad which church. Now there's churches, and there are churches. If Dad looked around and found a really fine, humanist oriented church where the parishioners don't think Jesus is the only way to heaven, and let the girl come there every week and find out that even within Christianity there is some room for discussion, it might help things out. Or, it might not. It could blow up in Dad's face some how if this girl is really deeply indoctrinated.

But even so, let the girl go to church if that's what she herself is saying she wants to do with her Sunday mornings with Dad.
