Loss of period
by WC1278

I actually have been on the Depo-Provera birth control shot for almost 6 years and haven't had a period in all that time. I personally love it! First of all, I have had no ill side effects with it. Secondly, I only have to go into the doctor once every 3 months for my shot which is great for me since I'm terrible with taking a daily pill! Plus, if I do happen to get pregnant it's true I wouldn't know right away, but I don't smoke, do drugs, and very rarely drink (and haven't been drunk in a long time). So, even if I did get pregnant I'm not likely to cause harm to my unborn child and would just not realize I was pregnant right away.

If other woman feel they should have a period then great for them. Personally the last 6 years I've had period free have been great! I know longer dread that week every month! I go to the doctor every year for a Pap and full physical and I have a clean bill of health. I say the heck with my period! =)

Twelveplets?

Goodness, so you're accumulating all those eggs inside of you!

Is there a name for the number of babies a woman has if she gives birth to, like, 12 or more kids at the same time?

^ What do you mean "accumulating all those eggs"? Females are born with a lifetime's worth of their microscopic eggs inside their tiny ovaries, dontcha know? Such ignorant and alarmist nonsense! Implied: Oooh -- you might have 12+ babies all at once -- watch out!!!

I suppose you're gonna say you knew all that already? Your post isn't especially funny, but it makes you appear ignorant.

i would be careful to assume that you dont/wont have any ill side effects from depo. i was on it for 4 years and started to have pain during intercourse, i got checked out by my gyno and found out that i had essentially started going through menopause at the age of 21 because of the hormones in the shot. Not to be grossly graphic here, but my vagina dried up and lost its elasticity, i lost my sex drive in general, and one of my ovaries grew to twice its size and was covered in cysts, it got so bad that the ovary sunk down out of its usual place in the body due to its weight..yuck. all of this happened because of my long term use of the depo shot, and i had to temporarily go on hormone replacement to correct those problems.. so yeah, while it is awesome to be period free etc, just be careful that something isnt brewing under the surface..
