Prudie and the piercing

Prudie, shut the hell up. Pointing out to someone that they look like a freak isn't a bad thing - it demonstrates to them that they made a bad choice and should correct it. Humoring them only encourages them to don more poser costumes.

Facial piercings, obvious tats, and punk hairstyles are not something you wear to work unless you're employed as a coffee vendor, disco bouncer, professional skateboarder, or musician. Anywhere else and you'll stand out and draw universal derision from your coworkers. That's as it should be too. If I were her father I'd rip it out as well. The huge facial scar it would leave would be a small price to save her dignity.

If she wants to rebel, she shouldn't resort to poser costumes, she should employ her mind - that's where rebellion begins and ends.

Body Piercing has been around for a very long time and used by many different types of human beings. Starting in the 1600's til now, Royalty had their piercings as a sign of nobelity. Women started piercing their ears, God only knows since when. Men got into the game slowly, when it was widely accepted most men today, have an ear or more pierced. Perhaps 3 or 4 years ago, the younger adults started experimenting with different parts of their body, which has been done for eons. African tribes have body pierced since the begening of time.

The Truck Driver may have freedom of speech but, there are manners that should be observed and being rude isn't one of them. No one is telling him to like what she is doing but, that doesn't give him the right to insult and embarrass the girl. What he did then made it worse, going back at her again. His insults and intimidation will not dissuade her to continue warring them. perhaps after being docked for the time he took to go off his job to berate her, he'll refrain from making the side trip. Does he stop at any time when doing his job if he sees someone on the street with a piercing, tell them his feelings about it, I think not.

Body Piercing and Tattooing are as common as Facial Hair today. My Wife had extensive Tattooing done. Not to her Arms, Back or Legs but, to her face. She had her Eyebrows, Eye Liner and Lips tattooed on to take away the time she spent in the mornings and going out to do it herself. The Colors can be changed or left as is. She always looks twice as beautiful all the time. She is waiting for the next invention to stop her Nails from always growing and get them semi-permanent colored.
