OJ, A 60 year old hip hop thug
by wt2

OJ is just a thug who played a sport. There is no explanation other than he is self consumed man without a conscience, hence a psycopath and belongs in jail.

He avoids taxes, gets in trouble with the law regularly and really is a good case study for evolution and sub species.

Ok, OJ is a thug who played a sport I agree. He is a murderer who was rescued by fame (that we feed by discussing him). But I don't understand what Hip Hop has to do with it. Do you know hip hop? He was an athlete not a musician. As a fan of true hip hop, I think it's insulting that you would call him a "hip hop thug". I'm not a thug. My friends aren't thugs. And I doubt that OJ listens to that much hip hop.

That's like calling someone a "country music listenin racist" as if all country fans are racists. I agree with what you said (aside from the sub -species part), but it's unnecessary to add the hip hop part.

I don't understand why that overused and senseless stereotype was used either. O.J. has nothing to do with hip hop music... yet.

But maybe jail time for armed robbery would help jump start a career in Hip Hop? If Shaquille O'Neal can put out a record, then anyone can.

Didn't Sean Combs (a.k.a. Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy, Doo Wa, Diddy, Diddy Dum, Diddy Doo) try to restart his ailing career with a gun battle in some night club? He was obviously trying to gain some "street cred" by acting the thug and then chickened out and tried to bribe his chauffeur to hold the smoking gun.

Don't try to tell me that Hip Hop hasn't encouraged the "Gangsta" image as something to be emulated, unless you're talking about Arrested Development or some other "enlightened", back-to-africa types...
