Who are the Nazis, exactly?
by alex19

After the London bombings, polling revealed that a good proportion of English Muslims (30, 40 percent) believed that Western civilization was decadent and deserved to be conquered by Islam, and that Europe should eventually be put under Sharia Law. I'd imagine the numbers are similar for Muslims in Paris, Copenhagen, Amsterdam. Millions of people ca. 2007 thought it was perfectly natural and justified to fire-bomb embassies and hold up signs promising to behead anyone who disagreed, after an obscure newspaper published cartoons their Imams told them were offensive. Far more outrage over that, somehow, than the fact that Muslims have slaughtered a hundred thousand of their own innocent civilians in Iraq, often by blowing up the other sect's holy sites or killing them on a day of pilgrimage.

A sizable amount of people in the modern world believe that because of the delusions of grandeur of an Arabian tribal chieftan 1300 years ago, who thought God wrote a book for him, that women should be imprisoned and beshrouded, infidels (esp. Jews or Hindus) murdered, culture censored, and a single regime gradually spread over the whole world. What, precisely, is the big difference between this and believing in the superiority of the Aryan race?

How about the simple carpenter 1000 years ago, who had the delusions of grandeur to think that God spoke to Him. What about Him advocating peace and getting along with your fellow man? As evidenced by the posts today, that clearly did not work for all people.. How dare He?

So according to you, Islam is evil to begin with, and therefore what? We should wipe it off the planet? All Muslims are evil? That is the same thinking that Germans had 70 years ago: The Jews are going to take over our country and the world, rape our women, destroy our businesses, bring death and destruction to all unless we do something about it. Well they did do something about it.

If your claim that 30 to 40 percent of English Muslims hate the West is true, then why doesn't England see more subway bombings, riots, indiscriminate killing of Christians. It should be happening every day. And to your point about Muslims killing their own, how many people in our penal system are in jail for killing a non-Christian? I would guess, compared with the whole population, the percentage is quite small. And there are many, many Muslims who do not see a contradiction between being of "the modern world" and believing in Islam.

When did I suggest we should wipe it off the planet? It's the Koran and its latter-day interpreters who know that God has ordained that the entire planet shall one day be Islamic. I'm perfectly happy to live in peace with a civilization that accepts my own secular existence among unveiled harlots who can draw pictures of Mohammed with abandon. But if that doesn't work for them, I'm not sure sticking our heads in the sand and singing this sad old song about inter-faith dialog with the "moderates" is a substitute for combat. It's continually shocking to me, the Stockholm Syndrome evinced by those of us who want to prove their humanitarian credentials by protesting how secretly normal Islam is under all the violent pathology - even insisting that Sunnis massacring Shia's in Iraq has nothing to do with the religion! And I assume we shouldn't have been too exercised about Theo van Gogh's death either - after all, California had the Manson family, no?

As for the obscene comparison between Muslims in the West and Jews in Germany, I can only plead that you look at the facts, rather than your emotional desire to prove that Westerners remain genocidal (no millions dead, like the Sudanese or Iraquis have to each other, or the Pakistanis to Bangladesh - but we're bugging mosques, so look out!). The situations are practically polar opposites. On the eve of the Nazi takeover of Germany Jews were intermarrying at an extremely high rate and were in general worshipful of German culture and very eager to assimilate. If you think that this is the rule in the West, to which only a couple "extremists" are the exception, you're kidding yourself. (I'd recommend B. Bawer's While Europe Slept as a primer for anyone interested) Pretty much the exact opposite is true. Indeed, if anyone deserves to be compared to Jews in contemporary Europe it's... the Jews, the few of them left anyway, who have seen an extraordinary resurgence of hate crimes against them since 2002 (synagogues torched, French Jewish children unable to attend schools with sizable numbers of Arabs), which the EU has eventually had to admit was almost entirely carried about by Muslims.

Here! Here! Alex you are right on the money! Too many amongst us are so eager to be "accepting of everyone" that when true evil shows itself, they can't see it, even when it cuts the heads off of civilans, (the slow way). Fortunatly to this point these savages are still identifiable, wipe out all Musloms? No thats not practical, demand that the "good" musloms stand up and show themselves? I believe thats should be a requirement. (sadly I see very little of this)

I would have to agree with everything, however religion has been a source of a good excuse for war since before records were kept.

I am actually puzzeled as to why we haven't been "hit" again. Yet even this won't wake up the comatose american who thinks that everyone thinks and believes like they do. Live and let live only works if all parties are of the same accord.
