Guess who controls Congress? Those over 50. Guess what is the biggest lobby? The AARP. Guess where most of the health insurance costs come from? Those over 50.

They are prolonging their lives by 10 and 20 years by taking our money and what do they do? Take more of our money for their retirement. That means that I don't get to spend my hard earned money for me, but instead spend all my money to keep them alive and give them free money to spend.

To say the elderly is taking away from the poor is I think ignorant.. First the Americans over 65 pay $100 a month before taxes for basic medicare ins. If they want to be covered for the 20% the government does not cover they pay another $100 per month. They also payed payroll taxes to medicare for the years they worked.

As far as "elderly stole the power from the young". You would be living in Nazi Germany if the elder generation had sat back on their fanny, like the young of today the majority who don't do war.

Insurance for a child to the age of eighteen is about $70 dollars a month. If the parents of children and young adults choose to drive around in a SUV rather than buy health ins. for their children or themselves you do so knowing that when you or your child get sick, taxpayers many of whom are 65 or over will be paying for your care.

Your question should be "Mommy who is going to pay taxes when all the old people die?".

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm sticking as many tax-free dollars as I can in my health savings account, with high-deductable "catastrophic" coverage in case I need it. For my needs, that's superior to any of the proposals I see from the presidential candidates.

A generation only has the right to rule over three, not four, generations. Instead, groups like the AARP are forcing those between 20 and 40 to pay for an increasing aging population that is ever expanding. WE are losing our retirement to pay for THEIRS. Social Security wont exist by the time I retire! Why? Because I propped up those people who artificially extended their lives!

The first problem is that companies paying for insurance for their employees are at a disadvantage when competing with foreign manufacturers who do not provide insurance. So what is your solution to that, because what is happening is that our jobs are going to those countries.

Secondly, you are incorrect that you cannot have procedures that you want to have. You can do whatever you want, but you would have to pay for procedures which are not covered. It is that way today. The big differences are that your insurance would always be portable, there would be no denial for pre-existing conditions. You could go to any doctor you wanted, instead of the "in network" requirement pushed on you today.

And these elderly people paid their dues when they were working and still continue to pay for their health insurance. They not only have to pay a monthly premium to Medicare but they also have to get a supplemental health insurance at exorbinant high premiums and they don't cover much of anything.

The Health care that our government is spending our hard earned money on is Medicaid. Paying health care coverage for people who sit on their behinds and do nothing and illegal immigrants that are pouring into our country taking jobs under minimum wage or just sucking the life out of our system. These are the people leeching off of all of us, not just the young.

Those of us who are over 50 are just staying alive to fuck with you young punks.

Really need to abolish all medical advances of the past 100+ years and go back to a time when most people had the good sense to die before 50.
