For me, it seems odd to single out Jewish (religious or secular) groups for the apparent blind support of Israel when there is a vocal element of the Christian Right dedicated to restore Israel to its Biblical boundaries.

I think Mearsheimer and Walt made that exact point in their book When they say "Israel Lobby", they include the Christian Zionists. They were very careful in saying the lobby is not all jewish.

Just another thought, if the Israel lobby diverse group, then you could easily turn the situation on it head and say that the Lobby might be actually courting the apocalyptic "Second Holocaust," at the expense of American and Israeli interests. In other words, success in the American culture war has led American religious radicals to influence the conditions around the the nation of Israel.

Hmmm, I could be wrong, but I believe that the Evangelical Christian wing of the Israel Lobby does believe that the Second Coming of Christ will not occur until the Zionist dream of Eretz Israel is achieved.

The Israel Lobby is not ALL jewish? Sheesh, that is a ridiculous softball statement. The Israel Lobby in the US is mostly Christian. Jews are only a tiny % of US population. Evangelical Christians, well....not so tiny.
