First I must say that I have yet to read the book and so I can only reflect on Rosenbaum's comments. Whether or not AIPAC and other Israeli lobbyists overemphasize perceived threats to Jews and Israel, both Jews and Israel have not effectively countered the propaganda against themselves. Part of the problem is that Jews and Israelis are so few in number. There are over 6 billion people on Earth and of that number under 20 million are Jews and Israelis. Imagine 20 million people trying to control 6 billion. The Israelis themselves have a difficult time managing their own country yet some people imagine a vast Jewish conspiracy to control the U.S. (much less the world) which would be believable if Jews were converting people on a mass scale while passing out Jewish versions of "The Watchtower." The Israeli lobby has been effective because it has to. Jews and Israelis have no other choice but to out-think and out-organize the opposition. As for a second holocaust, if it occurs it will not be limited to the Jews or Israel.

Maybe the real questions is: Why isn't there a Palestinian Lobby?
