Where to start about this horrible, wrong-headed editorial. Ok, Chris, I've never seen Hilton's facial expressions "...facial expression match even the simulacrum of <enter any activity here>." at any time during any activity. Paris Hilton has made a very good living out of being in the press. When she says she works hard she is not lying. She works constantly to be in media. She comes from a a family of marketers and to say she is some poor little girl who had all her privacy stripped from her is at best naive, at worst stupid. She is a master marketer. And she is not a girl but a woman. No the "majesty" of the law did not give her a break nor would it give me one in the same situation. Perhaps the law is tired of those who feel they are entitled. And make no mistake about it, Hilton feels she is entitled. She made her own persona, willingly and with great care. For God's sake watch The Simple Life just once and Hitchens could see that she set herself up as the princess who finds the wee folk so funny and kind of dirty. I often wondered about Hitchens mental state when he supported the war in Iraq. Now he comments on the "nonsubject" of Hilton saying others are mean people but he can keep his self respect. 'Fraid not. I would gladly leave Paris Hilton alone to lead her life if she would leave me alone and quit behaving like an entitled, spoiled, upper crust princess who courts the media. And if you would not write about her, so much the better.

The class envy drips.

You haven't any idea what class I am in. Straight talk is always a bit much for small minds.

Regardless, of your class, of which there is a 99.999999% chance you are in an economic class below Ms. Hilton, your posting reveals a certain enmity for, how should I say it, "upper crust princess[es]."

Oh, and there is one "simple" way for Ms. Hilton to leave you alone, just ignore her. But you can't (obviously-because you say she wont leave you alone??!???)--and that just eats you up. What does that say about your mind?
