Every christian I have meant misrepresents christianity. It's the selfishness that comes with, "I know I'm right, and no amount of rationality will make me change my mind".

Nothing in these articles suggests that these particular Christians are representative of Christianity in general.

In fact, I thing the newsworthy element of these groups is the fact that they have managed to sell themselves as being the spokespersons for Christianity (and for G_d) in spite of actually being a fairly small subset of American Christianity, or even of American Evangelical Christianity.

I agree that Christians are not really being persecuted in this country. At least, we aren't being killed for our faith. The persecution here is a much more subtle form. Children are told we can't share our faith in school; adults at work can't even have a Christian sign or symbol on their desk. We are made to look foolish in movies and on TV shows. (I'm a foold for Christ; whose fool our you, by the way?). We are made to look uncaring, judgmenatal, etc. But really, we are also told palinly we WILL be persecuted. I just didn't think it was going to happen in a nation founded on Christian principles. 3/4ths of our documents (Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independance) are taken directly from the Bible. Ous system of checks and balances -- executive, judicial, legislative -- is based on the The Trinity, Father, Son and Spirit, all three essentially getting the same thing done, just in Their exact office. So, anyway, yes, in this country, a CHRISTIAN one, Chritians do deserve better. But in the overall picture, taking scripture into account that we will be persecuted, let's just run the race with endurance and stop crying about it. Jesus said if they hated Him, they will hate us. Their treatment of us is really just hatred of Him. It is Him, not us, they are rejecting.

To be fair my children cannot share their faith in school either. They cannot tell the poor ignorant xtians how they grow up to be sexually aware and sexually responsible humans according to the Goddess.
