REF:George W. Bush Visits Fort Hood, Wounded Soldiers

Saturday, November 7, 2009 12:40 PM

FORT HOOD, Texas -- Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, have visited wounded soldiers and their families after the mass shooting at Fort Hood.

The Bushes made their private visit to Fort Hood's Darnall Army Medical Center on Friday night. Bush spokesman David Sherzer said in an e-mail that the couple thanked Fort Hood's military leaders and hospital staff for the "amazing care they are providing."

An Army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, is accused of killing 13 people and wounding 29 others in a shooting rampage Thursday at a Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Fort Hood. Hasan is hospitalized, under guard.

Bush didn't decide about anything UNTIL "Obama Administration" announced ITS OWN planned visit (Tuesday).... I guess it's either for GWB to rearrange his schedule for a photo-op then it is for the current President of the United States to play a cheap game of "Beat you, sucker", huh???

Such bullshit is only "Important" to neo-skippys (Like "You"):

President Obama will visit Fort Hood soon to pay tribute to the victims of Thursday's shooting, a decision that scrambles the rest of his schedule, possibly including next week's trip to Asia.

"When a (memorial) service is scheduled, the president will attend," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said.

Gibbs said he expects the service to take place before Wednesday, when Obama is scheduled to leave on a week-long trip to Asia. But it may take a while for Fort Hood officials to put together a service because families of victims are flung all over the world.

"Out schedule is built around the families who suffered tragic losses," Gibbs said.

The White House is also planning another national security meeting on Afghanistan policy, but that isn't on the schedule yet either.
