It appears that the party of personal responsibility
by judy1

are really just deadbeats in disguise.

You cons complain about deadbeat welfare mothers and people collecting unemployment as being personally irresponsible, yet you don't believe that you should have to pay for health insurance if you don't want to, and be allowed to ignore the debt, which will make the rest of us responsible people pay for it in higher health care costs and premiums.
Okay, I understand now. You are all a bunch of damned selfish hypocrits.

you beat me to the punch!

I was about to top post the same thing. I don't see how any Con can be against mandating insurance. Now I'm for the Swiss system since it is run by NON profit private insurers, but everyone is required to have insurance. To me this Dem health care bill is a big mistake and I cannot support it.

Anyhow, another part of the con lie here is those that say that if they need medical treatment they cannot pay for they will refuse it. ha ha ha ha. That is just a flat out lie. When one is hurting one wants treatment! Thus the responsible and fair thing to do is to pay into the system so when you need it, medical treatment is available for you. DUH.

actually it is the libbers who are selfish

and seek to vote themselves into the wallets of others as opposed to actually taking responsiblity for their own life choices
the key is to pay ones own way through life and to not
by redtide
expect to be able to force others to do it for you
you can

thru taxes. same way you pay for your other government services

If one doesn't have health insurance and unless they refuses medical treatment they cannot pay directly for, they are a deadbeat right?

Really I have no respect for people who don't have health insurance. The reason is very simple; When they need medical services and they get the bills they cannot pay, they don't pay them and thus others have to pay them. That is a deadbeat!

Please explain to me how one can be responsible without having health insurance, unless they have say, a few million in the bank.

libbers dont

work and pay taxes??!! hahahahaahahahah
I agree 100%

Since medical services can be very expensive and one doesn't know when they might need them, the responsible and wise choice is to have health care insurance. Anyone without health care insurance is a deadbeat.

yep Jazz, I agree. I don't see why my premiums should have to rise to pay for people who don't want to pay for insurance. I would however support an amendment that required those who chose not to participate sign a waiver and have it on file with all medical care centers that allow them to refuse treatment to people that opt out.

As for your being non supportive of the current bill, I agree that a non profit model would be good, and it would be much easier to implement, but if you think for a minute a bill requireing all healthcare providers to become non profit, I think you may be mistaken. Perhaps if we pass this bill and live with it a while, we will see the problems with it and make some adjustement, that is my hope.

the problem with that is that

the vast majority of AMericans do not pay anything close to their fair share of federal income taxes with over a 1/3 not paying anything at all
if one choses not to buy insurance and cannot otherwise
by redtide
afford the care that they need then they should be allowed to die
and you get to decide
by gabriel
what is the fair share of the vast majority?? hahahahahahhhahah
the majority do not
by redtide
and that is sick. THose who do not pay at least 15k per year in federal income taxes are simply freeloading human debris
a fair share is approx. the amount of money
by redtide
the fed spends per citizen. those who do not pay at least that much are human debris freeloaders

umm, excuse me, but if you are against a requirement for people to carry health insurance, then you are in my pocket, because I am subsidizing those who can't or won't pay for their own health care
