Kimberly Munley for Sale

Couching this article as a general salute to women, instead of a salute to law enforcement, strikes me as way off on the P.C. monitor, rising deep into the servile end of the suck-up frequencies. Yet I'm prepared to forgive Saleten. We males all have to do what we must, to keep on the good side of the Muff Mafia.

How odd that Slade should so early and easily be caught up in the hysteria to exploit Kimberly Munley as a new natural resource, like oil or trees, to be used for a self serving institutional agenda.

At least Saleten can say he beat Oprah to the plate in attempting to exploit this police officer who did her job.

My own, unworthy, reaction to news that a diminuitive woman took down a truly bad guys was fear... fear that mad mobs of insecure teenage girls will now roam the streets armed and ready to go shoot the bad guys... and be "just like Kimberly.

Scarier still: My own aged mother clapped and squealed this morning when she learned it was a woman who shot a murderous man....not for the honorable deed that was done but because the police officer was so pert and and so feminine.

Blood lust knows no gender.

Muzza, where is your tribute to law enforcement? I don't even see as much as a comment that this cop did a great job. Why do you think that the fact that the individual who took the shooter down was a woman will cause blood lust among other women? If the individual had been male, would it cause blood lust among men???

The only blood lust belongs to the shooter. The individual who took him downs deserves praise. She had a partner and there were MPs around, but she was faster and braver and smarter, so she got there while the shooter was reloading and thus she saved a number of lives. Having this sort of courage and intelligence isn't of course limited to women, or men for that matter. But the fact that this individual is a woman and a mother is part of who she is. The fact that women have been discriminated against for so long, and called frivolous and not so long ago were denied entry into universities means that an act of such heroism by a woman is exhilarating to other women.

By the way, just ask your mother how she was brought up, what were her dream for her future that got twarted because of her gender, and ask her if she was happy with the identity imposed on her. Or are you unable to actually speak to females, not even your mom? So I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you disrespect Kimberly Munley because you even disrespect your mom. If I were your mother, I would grab you by the ear and drag you to your room and ground you for a month or two.... sheesh!

Please don't hit me. It was my fault for sparking your bloodlust. Sorry.
