They don't call him Cookie MONSTER anymore.

And they make him eat healthy foods now.

When I was a kid, he was a monster, but apparently it's too "scary" for kids. And his diet used to be exclusively cookies, but we can't have that now, can we?

I'm a diehard healthy eater, but I think it's perfectly FINE to have a fictional character devoted to cookies (which aren't the unhealthiest things for kids, anyway). He's not a role model!
