Please, no more reviews comparing yourself to other reviewer

This doesn't just go to Ms. Stevens. But please, critics, stop with the "I may be alone on this..." schol of criticism, where half your review discusses how you are outside the critical mainstream. Look: no one cares. No. One. Cares. if you are saying something that is different from many reviewers. And even if we did, that is the best possible way to ensure that you're not actually reacting to a movie and are instead positioning yourself, caring more about how you're seen than how you inform your readership. Stephanie Zecharek does this too. Please-- just tell us about the movie. Stop shining your trophy as a contrarian.

I think it's a kind of preemptive self defense. It is perhaps stronger and therefore more admirable to just say "I didn't like this" rather than "Unlike those other lilly-livered, liberal, PC poseurs, I didn't like this and I'm man (or woman) enough to admit it!"
