Missing the big picture
by laura in ma
Why on earth do you have a toddler with cancer in daycare to begin with? Forget compromised immunity, his disease could take him at any time. You should be at home with him, savoring every possible moment you are given together. What is so important to you that you didn't quit your job the minute he was diagnosed. You need to reexamine your priorities.

Thats a hell of a judgement for you to make. Maybe the jobs are what help them afford the treatment. Maybe the prognosis is good at this point and they are trying to prepare for the future, rather than savoring every moment.

Maybe she's the one with the health insurance that gives her boy access to doctors who can treat him?

Maybe her husband/partner needs a break from taking care of a seriously ill child now and then?

Maybe if she did quit, you'd be out there screaming about her being a lazy broad on welfare mooching off of the rest of us?
