I saw this ridiculous farrago on MSNBC last night, both Olbermann and Maddow were covering it - the former blustering with anger, the latter consistently raising an eyebrow of disbelief. And well they might, well they might.

When you see people carrying appalling signs like the one about "Socialist Health Care, Dachau, 1945" with a picture of a pile of Jewish corpses...what the hell can you say? Huh? That the people carrying it are not only stupidly, dishonestly, insanely wrong, but that they're hateful and insensitive to the point of fury? When you see things like the Pelosi-in-blood-with-fetuses thing, what can you say? This goes way, waaa-aaay beyond demagoguery and over the edge into raving, jabbering lunacy and hate.

I hope that people see this crap, and remember it - at election time,and every time they turn on a TV to watch Fox Fucking News, who are helping to spread and support this stuff. They need to hear from you, whether it's by turning to another channel, by calling for boycotts by advertisers, by voting against an insane candidate like Bachmann, or jst by sharing your thoughts with others and on boards like this one.

It's not FUNNY anymore, dammit. This has gone too far.

Likewise, I hope they remember the projected benefits of ratting out the CIA, unilateral de-nuclearization, closing Gitmo (uh why?), diddling himself on his Afghan decision, questionable handling of Iran, bullying of Israel, cozying up to Putin, Chavez et al accepting dubious unmerited Nobel awards.
