As the only gainfully employed Fray poster,

...let me state that I do appreciate your concerns. Between instructing young people in the proper use of dildos and our daily recitation of Marxist principles (which we do instead of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, which we can't do since we burned Old Glory in a lesson on offending Christer blowhards), I occasionally find time to post a few thoughts for you half-wits to ponder.

Now forgive me, our Bible Desecration Club is meeting in my room, we've got a pile of Gideon freebies on the floor and a classroom of kids who tell me they haven't taken a piss all day. They're eager to get the party started.

I'll return shortly to amaze and confound you with my wisdom.

Don't forget to get them to sing praises to Obama as all NEA-run schools do, while bowing down towards Mecca....

or is it Washington, DC?...or is it San Francisco?....I forget???

What, you don't have time to

torch libraries and child care centers on their closure days?

It's probably more like

a room full of kids rolling their eyes (Is he ever going to get off the internet and actually teach us something, anything?) while the teacher is typing away, absorbed in the Fray.
those kids don't notice, they're

busy texting.

Just so you are aware..

Unless you are in a private school, you are breaking the law. First by using your time posting, and secondly by using district resources for the activity.

...that we have ignorant teachers instructing our youth that to burn the American flag would only be an offense to christians.

Well, I'm not sure you're gainfully employed, but you

can write something pretty funny.

every poster with a job here is stealing if they are posting on company time...
Not if

they own the company, work for themselves, or are a contractor, or put in enough time to get the job done, even if it is on their own time.

A teacher however is under contract to TEACH for a specific number of hours per day.

Don't worry Don, we're putting your tax dollars to essential educational purposes. For example, I once put forth the old notion that if you place a million monkeys in front of a million typwriters, eventually they will produce a work of literary genius. Then we pull up one of your posts and are able to determine that the Internet proves this theory profoundly incorrect.

Re: No True...Teachers work on salary and not by the hour..
by bandy_etc

his down time is his own. Unless you would like to start paying teachers over time or double time for the extra hours they spend filling out forms, going to teachers conferences, PTA meeting, private sessions with parents, refresh classes. etc etc etc...

If Brit is half as good a teacher as he is a writer the state is more than getting it's money's worth.... and the children too.

Nothing left to say but try to 'live and let live' ...life doesn't have to be so hard.

Wrong, even he will tell you that.

They get paid by salary which covers x amount of classroom hours with students. There are laws that students get x number of hours of education, those laws, and the teachers contracts are tied together exactly. 100% of his time, when students are in the classroom, is to be dedicated to teaching and teaching related activities. There is NO downtime, or personal time, when students are in the classroom.

My wife is a teacher btw and wouldn’t consider doing what this person is doing, and not even the union would protect him on it. I will assure you of that.
