Re: "Shameful Conduct" - aptly named

I wonder if my wasted reams of rambling on and on here are useful elsewhere. Now that's a useful thought. They're mine, after all...and I'm looking to recover wasted time, so ...

there was an explicit invitation posted for you on
by MichaelRyerson
Procrastination and you are, of course, welcome here in Shameful Conduct although posting in Shameful Conduct isn't something one should aspire to. just sayin.
Dunno know to say ...

Really, how do I explain that if I post there I'm only going to end up devaluing the RE without (also devaluing myself at the same time [in the same sentence?]) OK, I'm trying to explain

1) my being there isn't of value to the community (right now; that could change)
2) this isn't self deprecation, it's a truth about myself that I've come to understand recently, one that inspires me to think about raising the bar on myself

3) I'm not ready to raise the that bar

4) just this week I've participated in at least 2 flame wars, and started at least 2 fires

That all said, I'm where I should be at this time.. so hi.

And PS. I did post there once weeks ago, and once the other night, but that one was a mistake, really. I followed greeneggsnham's interview link and posted. The next day I realized it was linked there.

have it your way. we do have the benefit of Shameful Conduct

for those weak moments when we simply must speak truth to the face of the halt, lame and delusional. this allows us to keep the main page at Procrastination relatively clear of flotsam and jetsom. in any event, the invitation will remain open. you'd fit right in.

I've thought about that angle, too, but I'm afraid I'd have to hire a moving truck to have my baggage moved out. Now factor in the cost of moving it back in, and then out, and repeating this several times a week. Too much cost, let alone the dirty foot traffic all over their carpet. Hardly a good deal for me or them.

you're probably right.

Sometimes being right means being right but being right doesn't equal Armageddon, but sometimes it does, kinda. Know what I mean? Pass the bottle.
yeah, well you know the old saying...

And another old saying ...

"Pot, meet kettle." Aka, "look in the mirror, Ryerson."

Looks like gypsy wants you to beg, Mikey. Beg, Mickey, beg. Maybe that will win her over.
