Why did Jeremy pull my thread from fraywatch?
by biteoftheweek
Anyone have any idea?
Which one---the quid pro quo offer ?
by Inkberrow

If that's the one you mean, I'd say just routine housecleaning, as Executive Placeholder and Resume Builder Jeremy the Moderator defines that, anyway.

Get a broom every week or two and sweep whatever's on the floor under the rug or behind the sofa. Your pearls along with LaurieAnn's toenail clippings and Ellen's bile-pellets.

by Schmutzie

He dumped a bunch of FW posts, including "Dear Mr. Stack Trace" , which I must say was one of SpeakerNancy's all time great efforts (Better even than "The Broncos are a football team in my town." and "1-800-DIVORCE, a billboard I passed today.")

Also lost in the ether was a post by someone named "LaurieStFreedom" which apparently was taken as a parody of another poster named Laurie. I thought the thing sucked out loud as parodies go, however in that thread SpeakerNancy suggested the LaurieStFreedom is a sockpuppet of mine, and added that the "parody" read like one of mine.

This of course infuriated me, and led to a brief altercation in which I told SpeakerNancy that she's a trouble making A-hole, a lousy writer, and a poor judge of puppets. It was at that point that JackDallas chimed in to suggest that he agreed with SpeakerNancy, and that he also felt that I was LaurieStFreedom. I told Jack he's an idiot, but gave him some credit for sticking up for SpeakerNancy.

That's when Ollie, Ellen, Muffie, Mitzi, Katzengrass, and Mitzicat showed up to comment on my rank hypocrisy as well as to express her overall dissatisfaction with the world in general.

Just as I was about to tell crazy cat lady where to shove it, Jeremy flushed the whole thing.

Drama man, drama.

Got 5 minutes to burn?

The lameness of that particular parody was a clue as far as
by Inkberrow

I'm concerned, Schmutzie, and I don't mean to the obvious fact that it thereby wasn't you. The ICPers were on it like stink on s***, blaming you almost in unison. Decrying it mostly, with Honest Ellen purporting to praise it. Regardless, it was very important very quickly, to all of them, and they wanted maximal attention drawn to it ASAP, prefereably by Moderator Magoo. Lastly, I recall it referred to the ICPers as "harridans", a usage I myself had employed just a day or two before. I believe each of them read every single word we post, poor souls.

All put together? I think it was one of the whackjobs themselves trying to stir the victim-pot, maybe with you as scapegoat. Honest Ellen maybe, still nursing her LAM-sores, doing her level best to produce a Schmutzie-esque parody, or perhaps even slithery Lilith, doing her level best to produce a poor Scmutzie-esque parody. My guess is all of them knew it was a put-up job for JTM's benefit from the get-go, including the Oaf, and they hoped their varying reactions came off as natural.

I thought it looked like SpeakerKeefer's work myself, and the quick arrival of her dear brave friend Jack confirmed the suspicion a bit more.(she misspelled harridan)

An attempt to take a swipe at yours truly in Jeremy's front yard? A red herring posted just so she could make a false accusation and make Jeremy think I've got a bunch of puppet nics? She wouldn't do something like that would she? No, not that fine, upstanding, topical poster whose posts have gained widespread acceptance, tons of views, and many legitimate uprates. Never.

Look for far fewer such Keefer posts in Fraywatch.

I think the Moderator is catching on quickly.

I thought the same thing. One of them, over there, posted that as a set up.

I considered the Toad a prime suspect too, and upon
by Inkberrow

reflection it fits best for a working assumption, perhaps with LAM alone kept out of the laff-loop, for passive-aggressive revenge and for the verisimilitude of LAM's outraged response. The quick support of Tiny Jack Oaf, the quick exultation of still openly LAM-hating Honest Ellen, even the strategic misspelling all fit the hypothesis. The Sad Speaker is annoyed at LAM too for LAM's self-reported and pointed (and accurate) distinction between LAM's recent topical, BOTF focus and the Speaker's recent imitation of a diseased chicken with its head cut off.

But besides Ellen I still hold some outliers as possibilities, Ci-Inc, maybe, or Dawn.

Or Lilith or even Gypsy or TQM. That's my list of possibles

but I agree the Toad is 51%+ likelihood. She's very competitive with you and your abilities, methinks Schmutzie, however asinine that comparison is in absolute terms.
Hey D.B. Additional confirmation, thanks.

Did it read like anyone in particular to you?
Re: Or Lilith or even Gypsy or TQM. That's my list of possibles

It's been this way since my brief Poems Fray layover.

We got along OK at first, but after watching her behavior on that board, the muckraking, the schoolmarm bit, the traffic directing (please see my reply to so-and-so above, and do check out my MBTU for a post I made in Banality Fray blah blah blah), I concluded she's a loon.

It was at that point she wandered into a thread and started to tell the whole Poems Fray gang the lowdown on her "good friend Schmutzie" including my height, weight, IQ, hometown, and who all of my Fray friends were. Shortly after that, I posted the "You're Tom Keefer" reply, and she turned like the proverbial cornered rat. I think I embarrassed her, but that's not my problem. Just speaking my mind. Downhill ever since. Now, I'm Smutty the Hockey Goon. Misogynist, bully, and all around bad guy. (and now, sock puppeteer...)

No, but there are times I get LAM, SN & Ellen mixed up. Times I think all three are the same person & times I think lil & LAM are the same. I'm not very good at picking up ones writing style over another.
This clicque

thinks other posters conduct themselves like they do.
Re: This clicque
by Schmutzie

After reading those emails of yours that Laurie posted, it's clear that you spend a great deal of time thinking about the Clicque, so I'm sure your analysis of the situation is spot-on accurate. You calls 'em like you sees 'em. You are one honest to goodness straight-shooter Ollie.

Thank god you're here.

Re: This clicque
by dumb_blonde

I didn't consider myself part of any clique. Until I posted in Geezers the first time. I received an e-mail telling me that I now need to choose sides & I can only post in either BoTF or Geezers, but not both.

So I had two options, either join the hysterical, hypocritical, backstabbing & loony toon clique with a few posters I liked or join the clique that had the majority of the posters I like. That e-mail helped me make my decision & that person that sent me that e-mail is now blocked & no longer exsists to me.

Oh my god
by Dawn Coyote..

that's fucking funny. Thank you for posting that.

(And I'm the bossy one?)
