Voting "not Obama"
by Scoot'r-d
Obama won his election on votes 'not for Bush'. Now in less than 1 year Obama has proven himself so hypocritical and ineffective that the pendulum has swung full tilt to the opposite extreme. Voters are essentially voting anything BUT Democrat and the closer Obama gets to the campaigns the worse those candidates will fare. Obama took a rather narrow margin of victory and gleefully jumped his nascent administration off the far left cliff with the Democratic party in tow. Now it looks like the parachute won't open.

Oh, like the New Yorkers of the 23rd? Thanks for clearing that up. And silly me, I thought the voters in N.J. were voting "not Corzine." Guess that's all I know, eh?

Scoot'r-d: polls actually indicate that the majority of voters yesterday did NOT base their votes on their opinion of obama. please "scoot" to your next baseless rant.

If exit polls are to believed what your saying is definitely false. In both NJ and Virginia, only a fairly small minority of people said they voted the way they did because of Obama and, of those, about equal numbers voted on each sides (in other words, the votes 'against' Obama were essentially offset by the votes 'for' Obama). Additionally, if you go to New Jersey, it looks like a fairly large number of Christie voters actually support Obama.

Plus Obama's popularity in Virginia is better now than it was when he was elected.
