Really? Now someone is going to aledge the plot of a stupid TV show born out of another stupid TV show that was on air when I was a little kid is all produced and aired just to frontline digs on our current President? Yeah, the rightwinged Obama haters are so ingraned in theater and television that they just took over ABC (yeah, that's right ABC) and aired a giant dig on Obama disguised as a new, old TV show. That sounds really plausable. This is so pathetic it actually got me to give up my email address just to respond about how lame it is. Come on, stop groping; it just looks desperate. Nobody is trying to liken our President to lizard-aliens through nationally televized episodes of a dumb TV show destined for failure.

Science fiction is (was) always topical. ABC is intensely conservative. There is a small but very vocal audience for anti-Obama rhetoric. The actual anti-Obama crowd are only one small step from claiming Obama is a space alien in real life. However, given that most of said haters are incapable of the effort needed to unravel such a complex work it is probably more likely a dig at those anti-Obama nabobs. The whole work (even in it's original guise) is so craptacular, it would be hilarious to see the next tea-bag rally filled with Obama as iguana-alien posters instead of Obama as Hitler posters.

Remember, every pixel, every second on screen is completely and utterly controlled. If an angle for interpretation exists, it has been considered. Even in a stupid alien invasion miniseries, an outfit like Disney knows how it will be interpreted. And if it wasn't part of the message, that interpretation it be made impossible.

ABC put World News Tonight in the White House for a day earlier this year in connection with the network's hour-long documentary sympathetic to health care reform. They're hardly anti-Obama.

If the poster thinks ABC is "intensly conservative" he has to be more leftist than Stalin. There is one conservative news network,FOX, anyone who thinks the mainstream media is at all conservative is nuts, they (including ABC) are about as liberal as they come. Disney is about the most progressive company out there.
