The GOP's Frisky for a Dead Party
by Gatewood

Are some of you political children at last beginning to understand that the election of Obama, which occurred ONLY because the economy cratered during the last months of the Bush Administration, DID NOT signal the end of the GOP despite what the Obama adoring media said?

I wonder about you people sometimes. As stupid as some of you are, how the hell do you even figure out how to vote? Anyway, Obama was elected because of the economy STUPID and Obama has since then done precisely what in regards to the economy? He's essentially ignored it in favor of trying to get socialized medicine passed. Oh, and he tossed about a trillion dollars down boondoggle rat holes. Uh-oh!

Last night's startling wins by GOP candidates was a clear message that independents ARE NOT going to give either Obama or the liberal democrats, in total control of the legislative branch, a free pass where the creation of jobs and improvement of the economy are concerned. IF the democrats CONTINUE to ignore meaningful jobs creation and the economy then they will be replaced in 2010 by GOPers who WILL fight for jobs and bringing the economy back on line. Or at least will promise to do so. We can all see in regards to Obama what political campaign promises are really worth.

Just think about that for a moment, a whole lot of media declared dead people will be replacing STUPID or INCOMPETENT or CORRUPT democratic legislators in 2010 and that's Hope and Change that the nation really can belive in.

I'd hesitate to call those wins "startling." The Republican was expected to win in VA, a traditionally Republican state, while the Republican in NJ ran against a deeply unpopular incumbent Democrat. Again, if you want to read tea leaves, look at the result in the special election in NY.

the special election where the repub vote was shattered by having 2 candidates up until a few days ago? Gee, what a sentinel event.... not.

You talking about the 23rd district
by Gatewood

'win'? The win that occurred ONLY because the liberal operative disguised as a republican pulled out at the last second and threw her support to the democrat? THAT race? Did you actually COUNT the votes?

Do you realize that had those votes that were wasted on the bogus republican candidate gone instead to the conservative that he would have won? That doesn't trigger any political alarm bells inside that skull of yours?

They'll stay alive...as long as they listen to Newt Gingrich...and not Glenn Beck or Hannity-

"The choice in New York is a practical one: We can split the conservative vote and guarantee the election of a Democrat in a Republican seat in a substantial loss of opportunity. Or we can find a way to elect someone who has committed to vote for the Republican leader, has committed to vote against all tax increases, has committed to vote against cap-and-trade, and is a strong ally of the NRA.

In order to stop President Obama and the Democrats in Congress, I would rather see Christie win in New Jersey, Bob McDonnell win in Virginia, and have the Republican, Dede Scozzafava, win the special election in NY-23 so that election night in 2009 is a devastating defeat for the Democrats. "----Newt Gingrich

I don’t know about you, but I’m totally alarmed that voters who had the option to vote for the teabagger voted for a candidate who was NO LONGER IN THE RACE. Totally alarming for the Democrats. I am completely tore up about the fact that this strategy CLEARLY worked for the Republicans and really scared about the fact that they intend to use it again in Florida. Scared to death.

Hello, Gatewood…try a little logic. IF the votes that went to DeDe would have gone to the teabagger, he totally would have won? Right, but those voters who had the option to throw their votes to him didn’t. Hello.

What Do You Think Obama Should DO About The Economy?
by LeRoy_Was_Here

Tax cuts, right?

Especially for all the billionaires and trillionaires, right?

Yeah.

That'll get the economy going again.

Well I heard Oprah liked Obama, so I figured I might get an Ipod if I voted for him...
