Politics parading as journalism

Ayn Rand deserves far more than this trite hack job that Slate has launched at her.

While I can see why Liberals (with a capital L) would despise her philosophy, it seems overly gratuitous to attack her in this fashion for no real reason. As an author she isn't worthy of high praise, but neither does she deserve vicious attacks. The fact that these attacks are coming from a single individual here in the Fray is telling itself - perhaps a little bit of guilt??

All in all, a fairly pedestrian article covering a pedestrian author with powerful ideas lacking the means to voice them properly.

There are plenty of reasons for conservatives to attack her as well.

You forget that the article was a REVIEW of two existing bios of Ayn Rand. What sort of review would it be if it ignored what's in the books and just wrote praise for Rand?

A Fox News review?

Apart from the attack on "Liberals" your last line of criticism is a good one.
