Republicans Desperate making the irrelevant 23rd relevant
by ruchac

Take a look at the 23rd district:

<link>

It covers mostly the Adiondack Mountains. With a population of 654,360 spread over such a huge area it has the lowest poulation density of any district in New York. A major population center is Camp Drum, home of the Tenth Mountain Division. With an annual income of 35,000 $ it is a poor area.

It is beatiful area.

So what is the big deal about who represents this district. The Republicans are desperate in trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

The self described True Conservatives caused a loss there. They made a mountain out of a mole hill. Pouring in money from across the Country. The big guns Palin and Limbaugh stepprd forth and embraced the True Conservative. They drove a moderate Republican from the race. The Democrat, Owens, then beat the True Conservative, Hoffman.
