NJ low turnout
by Don

From NJ.com

paste below......

in the places it counts

Thought I'd chime in. I've been working in Newark (biggest city in NJ, dem stronghold) for the past 3 days, making calls, putting up signs, etc. The biggest thing going on today is no one here is going to the polls. In one polling place 49 votes were cast by 11 am, in contrast, at the same time last year, there were 378 votes cast.

********

"Overall turnout in New Jersey's largest city is hovering near 30 percent of where it was last year when Barack Obama ultimately racked over 77,112 votes, according to Democratic Party sources on the ground."

**********************

Around midmorning, I heard a strikingly low percentage for projected statewide turnout. Politico quoted Monmouth University pollster Patrick Murray, "If turnout dips below 47 percent, it’s minorities not showing up."

Odd admission???....low turn-out is a GOOD thing for Republicans.

True...just odd you'd admit it.

Looks like ACORN got bitch slapped by that corruption thing.......weren't able to pull their usual Mugabe tricks.

I'd still stay on them.......get some corruption on them.........and burn them down even more.

shalom!

Clitty has two screens working.....all a matter of time before he screws up and answers the question before he asks it.....lol

Anybody surprised by cid?

Corzine wins....he claims "he was right...ACORN stole it".

Corzine loses....he claims "he was right...New Jersey going to join me and the Nationalists now!"

ROFL!

That's because Republicans make an extra effort to vote

rain or shine...doesn't matter wat the issue or who is running, they like to exercise that right. Democrats will let a little rain keep them home, and if there is nothing special for them, like the One, they just don't care.

It has been that way for at least 50 years.

I get it now.

You attack me as gay...when you are the one who's a homosexual.

You attack me as "using two screens/two nicks"....when you are "CliffHanger".

What's next, Joe?....LOL

what is so odd about it

In case you didn't know politics is first about winning. Power is gained by winning.

The low turn-out will be one of the major reasons the GOP makes gains in 2010.

What this tells us is that many that came out to vote for Obama in 2008 were really just sheep. Since there is no shepard in the mid-term election there isn't anyone to lead these voters by the nose. Thus they stay home. Obama is enough to get Con voters to vote (well Obama along with fear).

I expect the usual ---- ACORN will find a way to stuff the ball boxes... or find enough votes for Corzine to win mysteriously in the backseat of a car.... once they know how many votes to print.

Yeap, KKKons usually keep a charged base so when turn out is low it's usually cause dems stayed home

I can't for the life of me understand why turnout is so low
by BFD
even in years, when it is considered good. So many people just don't care.
Problem is that
by Don

Corzine is disliked by such a wide margin. It's one thing for a loyal Dem to say on the phone they support him, it is something else to act on that support. It never made any sense to me that he could close t gap...but he spend $30 million of his own money..and if what it looks like (perhaps) is happening the ads worked as far as from the TV to the phone. He raised the hell out of taxes on everyone.. I also think that people were put off by the fact that he would spend $30 million of his own money..to tax them some more.

All just conjecture...

Sadly.............................
by BFD
that's basically true.
