"DIVORCE IN A DAY..."
by SpeakerNancy

reads the billboard near this office. Subhead: "1-800-DIVORCE."

Anybody here ever used 'em?

(And just what does this say about our society?) I'm going to look them up and see if they are national chain, or something. Wow.

Interesting. A billboard in Hollywood today amuses my son and I. It reads: "Hollywood: As many ATMS as Unsold Scripts!"

Anyway..also, just saw this on a Slate Ad here:

<link>

Little Bush and Bill Clinton, together in L.A. in Feb.2010. I just might go see that.

It's a McDivorce.
by WasLTT
You can get one of those after you get married at a McChurch. I hear Wal-Mart is getting into the market.

You can probably buy "the book" at WalMart for $ 9.99, right? And hire a minister (Universal Life Church) for your next McWedding after your first McDivorce and have the McReception at ...Subway? (After buying your McDress at Target and renting new hubby's McTux at McMr.Neats.)

And this is a huge billboard, too. We don't have that many of them here in Metro-Denver since the cities started to ban them years ago; so the ones that are left are old-style and they are huge and v. obviously placed. This really just jumped out at me, today. I think it's a new one. Just caught my eye, yanno and thought it would make a fun Top Post.

Oh, that's fabulous. And so approp. too for your area. Also noticed that ad on Slate's home page last week -- what are they charging, do you know yet? (I hope they come here, too.)

Btw, whatta laugh, I just traversed on over to SC where The Usual Suspects are whining & lying & flaming & making their usual phony accusations. It's too funny - you should make the trip. About St.Inky (of Burrow-Berrow), has he had a new thought in years, can you remember? Last, good on ya for your FrayWatch request yesterday; nice to see that JTM is on the job. (Probably why THEY hate him so much, you think?)

Tickets start at $75.00. I would LOVE to see them both in that venue, really. I bet it would be wonderfully fascinating. I think Bill Clinton has done so much good with Bush's father ,as well, in all of their joint charitable efforts these past few years.

And as much as people still complain about Bush Jr., I noticed Obama (at the Ted Kennedy Funeral) give him a very very warm pat on the shoulder and nearly gave him a genuine bear hug.

Both men had and have a lot on their plate. At the end of the day, they are only human, doing the best they can.

I may have disagreed with Bush Jr. often, but I never viewed him as a malcious human being, with out-right ill intentions.

Unity is what the country needs, more perhaps than anything else.

Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr. have done so much good in this regard. Now with Bush Jr. let's hope unification continues to evolve.

Hopefully, what draws us all together has to be greater than what tears us apart.

Re; the SC place..I scanned it and thought,"gee, they aren't even making any pretense anymore of the fact that they see themselves forever relegated to just sit and whine from afar about the other kids at school, that they can't cut mustard with on their own, on any level." (proverbially speaking)

That's kind of comical, really.I can't pity them ,as they did it to themselves. And yes, they were very rude to JTM, as well, with all those awful tags they made on Procrastination Fray. Sheesh!

i'm not a lawyer, but i play one in BOTF
by baltimore aureole

i'm not aware of any legal jurisdiction that offers "one day" divorces.

you have to file paperwork, and get it reviewed, even if its uncontested.

what does angie's list have to say about them?

by SpeakerNancy

you're NOT?? And you want to run for President? :-) (Hope you saw my reply to you on your announcement thread yesterday...)

Good question about angie's list; I may look that up later. And of course, am sure you're right about the 24 hours. But it certainly caught my attention! Wonder how many people will call them?

I wonder if the services of the prostitutes you can find on craig's list are ever reviewed on angie's list.

b - is impulsive

That is frightening, in a way ...
by SpeakerNancy
Wal*Mart's selling caskets? Are they also Made in China? Where will it stop? (I hope before delivering babies.) Good to see you around, btw. (as always)
